The Brescian spit
our specialty
September through May is the time for the Brescian spit; the suckling pig is slow-cooked and flavored. Meat specialties include tripe, ribs, braised meats, stews, and beef in Rovato oil.
typical brescian cuisine
I am Maurizio and I have dedicated the last 25 years of my life to perfecting traditional Brescian culinary recipes.
This adventure was born from the discovery in the attic of some of my grandmother Ada's old recipe notebooks. I remember how jealous she was of her "secrets in the kitchen," so much so that it was impossible to get her to confess what she had added to the recipe to make the flavors explode. It was a blow to the heart, a going back in memory to when the whole family would gather around the table. So I decided to take those handwritten recipes back and revive them in my kitchen. From those pages emerged the beating heart of Brescian tradition in its rich simplicity. Today you, too, can try to unlock the secrets in Grandma Ada's kitchen.

We had dinner here tonight, a riot of flavors from appetizer to dessert. Hearty, homemade dishes, I would say made with love and great prices. We will definitely return. I give 5 stars because more is not possible. Excellent staff.

Discovered by chance and already put on my list of favorites in Brescia. Business lunch menu excellent value for money: 11euro including first course, second course, side dish, water and coffee. Homemade dishes very tasty and balanced portions, not to mention the location, really nice and well-kept. Great service, attentive and quick. Recommended for lunch, but will definitely come back to try the evening menu as well.

It is always nice to plan a few hours in such a familiar environment with friends but also in solitude . Entering , you smell smells , I call them scents , coming out of the kitchen . With these , imagine the recipes handed down from mothers to their children , who continue the traditions . Now I come to the point , the kitchen . What to say , from the special appetizers , that only with these and a glass of wine you could be satisfied . The choices of first courses , today meat casoncelli , a delight . Second skewer with polenta . With this dish I cannot make any comment . It was the smell I smelled upon entering the Comedy of Pots . I was not alone , after the meal , I would have stopped to chat with a friend but it was a little late . I paid , very favorable price , I went out unwillingly . I will return I hope soon . You , who are reading my little article , also try it and tell me . I thank the staff very attentive and caring . Thank you

I don't often go out to restaurants, so I don't consider myself an expert, but considering my experience I must say I was more than satisfied. The location is nice, rustic, easy to reach, a little less finding parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. The portions are large, the raw materials of quality, the choice interesting, in the context of Brescian doc cuisine. I must say that I liked everything I ate, including the really good pistachio dessert. The prices are clear and adhered to to the letter, which I appreciate because it indicates seriousness; in fact, we escaped a small discount that was not even requested. And by the way you can find the menu on the trattoria's website, as well as displayed outside the door. I think I will go back there.

Awesome!!!!! I went to this establishment one Sunday in August with my family. I ate spectacularly from the first course to dessert. I returned because what came out of the kitchen was even more inviting than what was on my plate. Beautiful and good in summer and winter. I am here now with a full and satisfied belly after eating a mouthwatering steak. Come and try it, I recommend it.... As a good Neapolitan, I like to eat well

In my experience I have found Marzia and her staff to be there for every eventuality and difficulty, competent people who know how to respond to your needs. Keep up the good work!

Dinner with 5 last night, it was the first time in this restaurant that was recommended to us, well...perfect recommendation. Brescian cuisine, great food, from appetizers to starters to main courses. Unfortunately we did not have dessert because we were already full. Spectacular !!! Tasty food, perfect cooking. It is useless to list what we ate because everything was so good. I can only congratulate everyone, manager, cooks, staff and recommend to those who have not been there yet to try this place. It is really worth it.

Excellent food, helpful and kind to find you room even if full. I can say that the meat is very good at the level of more emblazoned establishments. I will almost certainly return x try the rest of the menu, which looks interesting especially on the entrees.
